How long does each lesson last? 

With lesson durations of 45 to 90 minutes, Hi-Way Driving School’s friendly staff can help you choose the perfect length for your needs. 

How much do driving lessons cost? 

Pricing at our school starts at $55 for a 45-minute session and goes up to $110 for 90 minutes. We provide a variety of attractive packages for ongoing driver training. 

Are automatic or manual cars provided for the lessons? 

At Hi-Way Driving School, we offer both automatic and manual vehicles for driving lessons. Our instructors will be able to provide tuition in either type of vehicle depending on your preference. 

How many driving lessons do I need? 

The number of driving lessons you need will depend on your individual situation. Factors such as your previous experience behind the wheel, your level of confidence and comfort with driving, and any additional skills or techniques you’d like to learn can all affect how many lessons are necessary. Our friendly team can discuss your needs and help tailor a package to suit. 

How many hours of driving experience do I need to get my license in Victoria? 

A minimum of 120 hours of supervised driving, including at least 20 hours during the night, is necessary for a license in Victoria. These hours must be recorded in the authorised logbook prior to applying for a probationary license. The Hi-Way Driving School team offers assistance with both logbook management and practical lessons to fulfil these criteria. 

What’s next after passing my driving test? 

Once you successfully complete your driving test, you will be issued a probationary license by VicRoads. While on your probationary license, there are some restrictions such as carrying passengers, driving in certain areas and for certain purposes, night time driving and more. For further information about these restrictions and how long your probationary license is valid for, please visit the VicRoads website.
