What is the duration of each lesson? 

Hi-Way Driving School offer lessons lasting from 45 – 90 minutes long. Speak to our friendly team to determine what the best lesson length is for your needs. 

What is the cost of driving lessons? 

Pricing at our school starts at $60 for a 45-minute session and goes up to $115 for 90 minutes. We provide a variety of attractive packages for ongoing driver training. 

Do the cars used for lessons come in automatic or manual? 

With both automatic and manual vehicles available, Hi-Way Driving School’s instructors can tailor lessons to your preferred type of vehicle. 

How many lessons will I need for driving? 

Your unique situation will determine how many driving lessons you require, considering factors like past experience, confidence level, and any specific skills or techniques you want to master. Our approachable team will work with you to create a package that fits your needs. 

How many hours of driving experience do I need to get my license in Victoria? 

Acquiring a license in Victoria requires a minimum of 120 supervised driving hours, with no fewer than 20 hours of night driving. All this must be documented in the approved logbook before seeking a probationary license. The team at Hi-Way Driving School is here to aid with the logbook entries and practical driving lessons. 

What happens next once I pass my driving test? 

Successfully completing your driving test will lead to a probationary license from VicRoads. While under this license, you must adhere to various restrictions such as passenger carriage, specific area and purpose driving, night driving, etc. For complete information about these restrictions and the length of your probationary license, please refer to the VicRoads website. 

Hi-Way Driving School can also provide guidance on the best ways to stay safe on the roads once you have gained your license. Our instructors can provide further lessons and advice on safe driving practices to help you stay safe and confident when behind the wheel.
